Inception
In 2010 Smack. was founded as a bridge between underground music and the student nightlife scene. Starting it’s life on Greyfriars Road, Smack. quickly became a Friday night institution for its unruly atmosphere and quality DJs who played the music you wouldn’t hear at other nights.
Expansion
By 2020, Smack. had been the biggest club event in the city for a decade, producing over 500 shows, welcoming well over 500,000 guests and 100s of artists and DJs. Then COVID-19 entered the chat.
Intermission
After a year of reflection and fresh off the back of a merger with our former competitors, we decided it was the right time to leave Smack.’s incredible 10 year club legacy behind and ascend into something greater.
Transcendence
In 2022 we transmute 10 years of history and experience into something for the future. Smack. Festival will be far from the norm and will blend an immersive storyline with never-before-seen levels of festival production, insane line up and captivating activities and content throughout, over a saga lasting years to come.
